Artifacts Summary

This page provides a list of the FHIR artifacts defined as part of this implementation guide.

Behavior: Capability Statements

The following artifacts define the specific capabilities that different types of systems are expected to have in order to comply with this implementation guide. Systems conforming to this implementation guide are expected to declare conformance to one or more of the following capability statements.

MyPAIN Client Capability Statement

Describes the capabilities a FHIR client will use to implement the functionality of the MyPAIN application

MyPAIN Server Capability Statement

Describes the required capabilities a FHIR server must support to be usable as the server for the MyPAIN application

Pain Manager Client Capability Statement

Describes the capabilities a FHIR client will use to implement the functionality of the PainManager application

Pain Manager Server Capability Statement

Describes the required capabilities a FHIR server must support to be usable as the server for the PainManager application

Structures: Questionnaires

These define forms used by systems conforming to this implementation guide to capture or expose data to end users

MyPain Questionnaire

A questionnaire to use with the MyPAIN application for a patient to assess their pain levels, locations, and treatments for use in consultation with a clinician to determine further treatments.

Structures: Resource Profiles

These define constraints on FHIR resources for systems conforming to this implementation guide

CDS4CPMAssessment

Profile of observation used to characterize assessment responses from the MyPAIN questionnaire as observation resources available for provider review during a shared decision-making session using the PainManager application

CDS4CPMBooleanAssessment

Profile of observation used to characterize boolean-valued assessment responses from the MyPAIN questionnaire as observation resources available for provider review during a shared decision-making session using the PainManager application

CDS4CPMCodeableAssessment

Profile of observation used to characterize codeable assessment responses from the MyPAIN questionnaire as observation resources available for provider review during a shared decision-making session using the PainManager application

CDS4CPMTextAssessment

Profile of observation used to characterize text assessment responses from the MyPAIN questionnaire as observation resources available for provider review during a shared decision-making session using the PainManager application

Terminology: Value Sets

These define sets of codes used by systems conforming to this implementation guide

MyPAIN QuestionnaireResponse Codes

Value set for Questionnaire Response Codes used in the MyPAIN Questionnaire

ValueSet - Naloxone Medications

All naloxone medications

LOINC Non-opioid Drug Urine Test

ValueSet containing all general screening tests in urine for drugs of abuse other than narcotics codes.

ValueSet - Opioid Drug Urine Screening
Individual tests and panels of tests of urine for opioids. NOTE: The explicit exclusion of code LOINC 19300-3 is a workaround for an issue with retrieving observations of that code at some implementation sites.
ValueSet - Opioids

Value set for Opioid drugs

Pain Therapies

Value set for Pain Therapy and Strategy Observations used in MyPAIN and Pain Manager

Pain Types

Value set for Pain Types used in MyPAIN and Pain Manager

Substance Abuse Conditions

ValueSet containing all diagnosis and findings indicating drug abuse codes.

Three Item Likert

Value set for 3-item Likert scale questions used in MyPAIN and Pain Manager

Non opioid pain medications

This value set contains codes that represent medications which may be of potential therapeutic benefit in treating chronic pain. It does not include opiate and opioid class medications.

Pregnancy (New ICD10 codes published between 2018 and 2020)

Pregnancy

Sleep disordered breathing

Conditions associated with sleep-related breathing disorders.

Anxiety

This value set contains codes representing conditions related to anxiety.

Conditions associated with chronic pain

Conditions that indicate chronic pain or are likely to cause chronic pain.

Liver Disease

This value set contains concepts that represent a diagnosis of liver disease.

Major Depression

This value set contains concepts that represent major depression.

Kidney Failure

This value set contains concepts that represent kidney failure.

Chronic Liver Disease

This value set contains concepts that represent a diagnosis of chronic liver disease.

Pregnancy

This value set contains concepts related to the diagnosis of pregnancy.

ValueSet - Pain Interference Answers

Pain interference valueset answers.

ValueSet - Survey Agreement Answers

Survey agreement answers valueset.

ValueSet - Past Pain Levels

Past pain levels valueset.

ValueSet - Current Pain Levels

Current pain level valueset.

ValueSet - Benzodiazepine Medications

All benzodiazepine clinical drugs

Urine drug screening tests

Individual tests and panels of tests of urine for drugs of misuse

ValueSet - Empty

The empty value set, used to indicate that a reusable concept defined in the concepts library has no meaning in a given configuration

MyPAIN All Questionnaire Codes

Value set for All Questionnaire Codes used in the MyPAIN Questionnaire

MyPAIN All QuestionnaireResponse Codes

Value set for All Questionnaire Response Codes used in the MyPAIN Questionnaire

MyPAIN Questionnaire Codes

Value set for Questionnaire Codes used in the MyPAIN Questionnaire

Terminology: Code Systems

These define new code systems used by systems conforming to this implementation guide

MyPAIN Questionnaire Codes

Code system for questions from questionnaire used in MyPAIN and Pain Manager

MyPAIN Questionnaire Response Codes

Code system for responses from questionnaire used in MyPAIN and Pain Manager

Pain Therapies

Code system for Pain Therapy and Strategy Observations used in MyPAIN and Pain Manager

Default MME Conversion Factors

This Code System Supplement defines conversion factors for calculating Morphine Milligram Equivalence (MME) using conversion factors used by default for the CDS4CPM Project. The supplement defines conversions factors for ingredients in one of 3 ways: 1, as a direct conversion factor for the ingredient, 2, as a dose-form-specific conversion factor for the ingredient, and 3, as a dose-ranged conversion factor for the ingredient. See the descriptions for each property for information on how the values are represented for the different conversion factors. For a given ingredient, only one type of property will be present, and the properties will enable a unique conversion factor to be determined if the input is within the expected range. If the input is outside the expected range, implementations should indicate a conversion factor could not be determined from the supplied information. All conversion factors supplied in this supplement are in ‘mg/d’.
